It's ALMOST official
Chris and I received our Marriage License today! We had to drive to Newport in order to get it. So, we made a day of it, we met with the cake place, dropped off some stuff with the florist, met with the regatta on last minute worries, had dinner on Thames street, did some shopping... All in All...awesome day!

Wedding Updates
We have our dress fitting on Sunday! I can't wait to see everyone in their dresses! They are going to look so gorgeous! And Little Grace Christeen will be trying her dress on too! But the best part is that everyone (except lisa b/c he has a baby shower) can make it! I'm so lucky to have such great friends and family so close by to help me through all of this! :) You guys are the best.
And.. Chris and I went to Providence Place Mall last night. Now that my job new job is in full swing and all the work drama is over with we can finally start buying the things we need! We've been putting a lot off b/c we didn't know what was going on with my job. I found an amazing dress and heels at my favorite place, Arden B, it's gorgeous (both for the rehearsal dinner.) Now all I need is a "after wedding dress." We also got a bunch of great ideas for attendant gifts....

Newport for the Weekend

This past weekend Chris & I and my parents went to Newport for our Wedding Food Tasting and stayed at Hotel Viking. It was so fun, much needed relaxing and entertaining! We arrived on Friday and had dinner at the Brick Alley Pub on Thames St. where we all piged out and got massive Cheeseburgers! Saturday Chris and I brought my parents to the Rehearsal Dinner Venue and we also made a trip to the Inns and Hotels that are blocked for the wedding. To our surprise it was Newport Winter Fest so we joined in the fun! We went to a Pizza Tasting and had delicious pizza from all over RI. My fav. Was the Italian Cold Cut pizza! We shopped a bit downtown then headed back to the hotel. We had dinner at The Red Parrot, love it! Then we saw a comedy show at our hotel. It was so funny! Chris snuck in a six pack of beer under his coat, I was a bit nervous, but then my dad was laughing at him so I felt better (phew/relief). After the show we all met up with Joe and Missy who also stayed at the Viking. The boys had cigars on the heated patio and the ladies chit chatted. We had a few (too many) drinks at the hotel bar. Then the parents went to sleep, it was about midnight! The 4 of us went to Chris and I’s room, Chris and Joe “Popped Champagne Whaooo” (literally) and we got in trouble by security! Whoops! Sunday we had breakfast (which was complimentary every morning!) and headed to Ocean Cliff where the food tasting was held. It was so gorgeous inside, decorated floor to ceiling by local vendors, they even had a girl walking around in a wedding gown! The food was great, cake was delicious, and free champagne can’t taste any better! Now we have booked our meeting with our coordinator Mellanie, March 14th! This is where we pick the food, floor plan, etc…! so exciting! I can’t believe it’s right around the corner!
