It's ALMOST official
Chris and I received our Marriage License today! We had to drive to Newport in order to get it. So, we made a day of it, we met with the cake place, dropped off some stuff with the florist, met with the regatta on last minute worries, had dinner on Thames street, did some shopping... All in All...awesome day!
Grace's Pick
Sunday morning I was woken up by Grace and Chris. Grace ran in the room and said "Mommy surprise!" and I was told that I needed to go downstairs. Chris and Grace made me chocolate chip pancakes (my fav.) and set up breakfast in our sunroom! We had a nice family meal and we asked Grace what she wanted to do that day. She looked sideways and said "Um, go to da zoo? See the animals?!" So we got dressed and went to Southwicks Zoo. We had never been there before, it is so nice! We had heard great things about it. Grace was able to pet goats, feed deer, see monkeys, ride on a pony, and go on a ride. This place is insane! Here's the pics. they are a bit out of order! whoops!
Fourth of July
We went to Jelly Stone park in Wareham for the fourth of July with Michele, Tony, and Shannon. It was so fun! When Mike and I were kids we would go camping at Jelly Stone in NH every Fourth of July, so now Chris and I are going to do the same with our family. Michele Brought James and her man Johnny and Shannon brought her little man Andrew. Enjoy the highlights!

AEROSMITH
Newport Magazine
A long ling time ago, December, I was looking through the Newport Wedding Magazine (sister to Newport Magazine) and noticed they featured local weddings. I then thought, "hey, we are getting married in Newport!" So I contacted the person the article referenced via email with a little info on our wedding. The woman I reached out to (Annie) emailed me back that day with a bunch of questions ie: where? when? who? I told her the info. She wrote me back asking for any pictures we may have, so I sent her a few of our favorite Engagement photo's. She then forwarded everything to her editor. His name is Michael. He sent me a form to fill out and with VERY in depth questions and also asked for our vendors and their info. I sent everything back, he told me that our wedding is so close to the print deadline he wasn't sure if we'd make it :(
We hadn't heard anything since. We chalked it up as a fun thing we did and that was the end of it. We hadn't even thought of it in months!
So, I was talking to Jillian our photographer the other day. She made a comment about how she is going to have a crazy weekend the weekend of our wedding since she needs to send Newport Magazine 25 roof by that monday. I think I said < "huh? what? what are you talking about!?" She said they had called her the day before and told her her deadlines and that we had a 2 page spread in the September issue of their mag!! I screamed for about 5 minutes! Danielle was in the background and could hear me! I was sooo excited, yet still a bit confused?
I reached out to Michael and asking him "????" He said his chief photographer person jumped the gun and called Jillian before he got to call me, and YES we have been chosen! We are in it baby!
You should see Chris! He is so excited! When I confirmed we were really in it he yelled out "YEAH!! That's so awesome!" And of course he is being hysterical and telling me that he is a "wanted man in a magazine" :)
Everyone keep your fingers crossed nothing goes wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND PRAY FOR NO RAIN!

Here's the email!!!!!!!
Dear Coreen,
Clearly a case of the cart coming before the horse. Yes, this week was the week I was supposed to be in touch with a few couples that we had agreements still "hanging" out there. SallyAnne, our photo-editor, beat me to the punch and so here I am tidying up.
I know that we had spoken a while ago regarding having your wedding featured. And this is still our intent. I know that your wedding is happening quiet close to our magazine going to the printers and so time will be of the essence. My understanding is that SallyAnne made contact with your photographer to prep her regarding our crucial time constraints. As far as photography, yes, I believe SallyAnne asked for the disk to be in her hands by that time. Who would have thought that your wedding would halt production of a magazine? Cool.
We have your wedding worksheet here, filled out to the best of your information, accepting the fact that you haven't as yet tied the knot. I was wondering how best to get the details of the day from you post wedding? Will you be off on a honeymoon? Or would there be an opportunity to speak with you or have you complete the worksheet and e-mail it in?
My best to you. And apologies for my tardiness.
Sincerely,
Michael.

Little Red Wagon
We pooled Grace's birthday money - thank you- and bought her her very own Red Wagon! She used one at Capron Park for James's birthday and loved it. We figured we should get her her own since the summer is here and it's better then her stroller which is now falling apart... I had Thursday off and decided to make it a mommy and me day. We went to Toys r Us and bought her wagon! We brought it home and put it together. YES mommy put it together!! With the help of my lovely assistant, Grace. She handed me tools, banged on every part with her hammer and sang "Teamwork Teamwork" almost the whole time! She is just so cute I can't stand it! Then Auntie Jill came over and we took her to WWII park and saw the animals, obviously we pulled her along in her new wagon and she loved every minute of it.

Wedding Updates
We have our dress fitting on Sunday! I can't wait to see everyone in their dresses! They are going to look so gorgeous! And Little Grace Christeen will be trying her dress on too! But the best part is that everyone (except lisa b/c he has a baby shower) can make it! I'm so lucky to have such great friends and family so close by to help me through all of this! :) You guys are the best.
And.. Chris and I went to Providence Place Mall last night. Now that my job new job is in full swing and all the work drama is over with we can finally start buying the things we need! We've been putting a lot off b/c we didn't know what was going on with my job. I found an amazing dress and heels at my favorite place, Arden B, it's gorgeous (both for the rehearsal dinner.) Now all I need is a "after wedding dress." We also got a bunch of great ideas for attendant gifts....
