Grace's Dress

Auntie Jill came over tonight with her bridesmaids dress and tried it on, and she looked gorgeous! Grace told her it was pretty dress and we asked grace if she wanted to put her pretty dress on (flower girl dress). She actually said YES. This was surprising to me since the last time I asked her I ended up wrestling her to the ground, she screamed, cried, and kicked me. finally got it on and she threw herself on the floor screaming "Don't Like It!" That lasted about 20 minutes. 

She was running around for about 20 minuted with it on tonight, spinning around, making s spin around, dancing in it. It was so cute and SUCH A RELIEF!!!!!!

Itchy Worm

Grace has discovered green inch worms. SHe loves them and calls them "cute itchy woam" ie cute inchy worm. She holds them on her finger tips and pets them and tickels them saying "Tikle Tikle itchy woam" Today we got home and she told me all about her worms of the day how hey are cute. She also likes to call for them saying "Itchy woam whea r u?" And goes and looks for them.

POTTY TIME!

Me and my mom bought Grace a potty yesterday. One for each of our houses and exactly the same (disney princess), that way she can get used to it. Grace is now OBSESSED with the potty. Yesterday when she arrived at my mothers house with auntie Jill she ran right over to it and knew it was her "potty." She tried to rip her pants right off so she could sit on it. She then carried it around the house from room to room yelling "Gracie's potty" and would periodically sit on it. One time she ran into my parents sun room with it, but then pee'd on the floor! whoops!

Grace wouldn't put it down! She had us put her potty on her chair at dinner. She ate her dinner on her potty. Mid dinner she piddled! and me, mom, and dad all clapped and yelled "hooray!" She was so proud of herself. Once we got her home she saw that she had yet another potty at our house! Again she wanted to sit on it immediately! She sat on it for about 45 minutes and then it was time for bed. She wanted nothing to do with her diaper! Once Chris and I were able to pin her down and get it on she was screaming like a wild animal. She started running throughout the house screaming "No Dypie!" She got so upset she started throwing up! She has never been sick so she didn't know what was going on :( 

The scene went like this: Grace screaming and running throughout the house trying to rip off her diaper, Chris and I chasing her around trying to calm her down, Chris with a plastic cup and I with a towel. Periodically catching the vomit with whatever prop we had! She was running from the kitchen to the living room and back! She managed to get sick on the stairs, living room area rug, living room table, kitchen floor, and her tea party table. This lasted about 20 minutes. We didn't know what to do! Finally I said "gracie do you want to watch Shrek?" she stopped in her tracks, stopped screaming, looked at me and said "ya!" She was fine instantly! Thank god for Mike Myers.

Now she is wearing "big girl pants" AKA pull ups. don't make the mistake of calling them diapers, she'll FREAK!

Snowy Feet

Yesterday Grace was at daycare and all the kids went in the snow! Grace was all bundled up in her snow gear and went outside. While Vikki (daycare provider) was putting her own boots on Grace's foot fell out of her boot. When Vikki looked up Grace was in the snow with a boot on one foot and a sock on the other! Vikki picked her up and sat her down. She took her wet sock off. When she reach for her new sock Grace jumped up and ran in the snow with one boot and one Bare Foot! So Grace's winter nickname is Happy Feet!

Bath Time Blunder

So, last night Grace had her normal nightly tubby. Where she played with water markers and her new Barbie's. When she got out of the tub I asked her if she wanted to wear her bathrobe. She said "yeah" very excited! She loves that thing! So i put it on her and she patted her belly and took off playing. I went into the guest room to fix an outlet cover and next next thing I hear is "uh-oh" i look up and there is Grace, in her robe, standing on a little Grace size puddle. yup, she peed! I told her it was OK, since I never put on her diaper. But she was laughing at her mess and wanted that robe off!

"That's a Nice Boulder"

Grace is in love with SHREK. She watches Shrek every night before bed, good thing we have all 3 and "Shrek the Halls." She says Shrek, it sounds more like "heck" but we let it slide! She also talks to the movie! The other night she said "bye heck" when Shrek was walking away on the screen. Our only hope for our sanity is that they make a 4th so we have even more options!

She's growing up too fast!

Chris is home with Grace today because our daycare woman has the stomach flu. He just called me to inform me that Grace has taken my bra from the floor, pressed it against her chest, and is saying "Mine!" haha! he doesn't know what to do! Priceless!

"Stuck"

The other day I was getting Grace ready to go out in the snow. She was all bundled up in her snow suit, I mean bundled! I was putting on my jacket as I heard in a little elf voice, "stuck, stuck"I looked over and she was bent over on all fours, in her head to toe snow gear, "stuck stuck" she said! It was so funny :)
